Cabin 8 | September 12–14, 2025 | Sure Game Wilderness Resort
Leanne was recently selected as one of our “Cancer Sucks” recipients, and we were so honored to welcome her for a peaceful weekend getaway. She and her spouse, Jamie, shared that she is currently facing Stage 4 terminal Cholangiocarcinoma, and this time away together was deeply meaningful.
They stayed in Cabin 8, which was the perfect cozy space for the two of them and their dog. On their full day here, they rented the pontoon and spent the day out on the water, enjoying beautiful boat rides and some great fishing on the lake. It was a chance to slow down, breathe, and make special memories together.
Leanne shared that the resort was a “wonderful and peaceful destination” and that she “would absolutely recommend it and stay again.” We are so grateful we could offer them a place to rest and reconnect during such a difficult chapter of their journey, and we’re sending them all our love and support as they continue to face this fight together.
