💛 Haley Huchon’s Story
Cabin 2 | August 29–31, 2025 | Sure Game Wilderness Resort
Haley’s journey is one of strength, courage, and hope. In September 2024, at just 34 years old, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. What followed was an incredibly difficult year—16 rounds of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy with axillary dissection, and 15 rounds of radiation.
Through it all, Haley leaned on the love of her family: her husband, her two beautiful daughters, and her mother—who is also a cancer survivor. Their shared strength and unshakable support carried Haley through the hardest moments.
Today, Haley is in remission. Her story is a reminder that even in life’s darkest seasons, hope can take root and grow.
We were honored to host Haley, her daughters, and her mom for a stay in Cabin 2 at Sure Game Wilderness Resort. For a few days, their family could step away from the weight of hospital visits and treatments, and simply enjoy time together—laughing, resting, and making memories in the Northwoods.
Haley shared these kind words after her visit:
“This tucked away resort is the perfect spot for a serene getaway! The cabins are all well maintained, the beach is clean (and has tons of little sea shells), the staff is super friendly. We felt totally at ease there. The lake almost feels like the resort is the only place on it! They include so many fun water activities for the kids and adults. SUCH an awesome place!”
