Rose Lorenz stayed with us August 1st–3rd in Cabin 2, after being nominated for the Cancer Sucks Cabin Giveaway by Kerry Larsen her longtime friend
Our friend Rose has been through more than anyone should endure. While caring for her husband in his final days with cancer, she learned she had breast cancer herself. She fought through treatments and chemo while grieving his loss. After a long, hard year, she’s now in remission, though she’ll have regular check-ups. This month was especially hard—her husband’s birthday and their anniversary. Rose is a true fighter. Sadly, our friend Jill also just lost her husband to cancer a few weeks ago. I hate cancer.
Rose and her sister recently stayed with us and left this kind review:
"The cabin was very clean, stocked with essentials, and so charming! The beds were comfy, too. The beach had lounge chairs, table and chairs. We had access to kayaks, a lily pad, and a paddle boat. Beautiful scenery and so peaceful."
They had a wonderful time and hope to visit again in the future. 🌿💛
