“My name is Alex Mitchell, and on December 26, 2025, at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. I underwent chemotherapy, surgery, and recently completed radiation. I’m so grateful to have finished treatment and to finally be looking forward to returning to a more normal routine with my two young sons, Pax (12) and Frankie (7).
What I’ve learned through this very difficult process is that despite all the dark things in the world, there is so much good that exists. From the incredible health care staff who cared for me, to the friends, family, and community who showed up without being asked, and to people like you—who offer experiences like this for families like mine.
I’m so thankful that my storm has finally passed and that I now get to soak in the brighter parts of life again.”
