In January, Amy was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer of the liver. Just a month later, she bravely underwent surgery to remove the tumor. Because it was lymph vascular positive—meaning it had already entered her bloodstream—it was staged at Stage 2.
Since then, Amy has been walking through six months of oral chemotherapy, pushing through every challenge with strength and faith. She is now down to her final round and gives thanks to God each day that her cancer was caught early. With her eyes on remission, she continues to pray for healing ahead.
Amy and her husband joined us at Sure Game Resort for our Cancer Sucks Weekend Giveaway, where they enjoyed a much-needed escape in Cabin 8.

“Sure Game Resort is an incredible place! I had the privilege of attending their Cancer Sucks Weekend, and it was such a thoughtful and generous event—completely free, full of fun, and beautifully put together. The grounds are gorgeous, the activities were great, and the atmosphere was so uplifting. It was an unforgettable experience, and I am so grateful. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. This was a wonderful weekend to clear my mind and reset during this challenging time in my life. So once again a big ‘Thank You’ for giving this to me and my husband to relax and have a weekend just to feel normal.”
