A Stay for Nina Ovens & Family – August 1–3
Cabin 4 | Sure Game Resort | Cancer Sucks Cabin Giveaway

Nina Ovens and her family stayed with us August 1st–3rd in Cabin 4, after being nominated for the Cancer Sucks Cabin Giveaway by Brianna Schmidt.

Their family has faced an incredibly difficult journey — one filled with hospital visits, healing, and strength.

"Matt was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and has gone through chemo and a stem cell transplant. He will remain on treatment for the rest of his life."

Through all of it, their family has focused on staying together, moving forward, and keeping life centered around love and structure — no matter how hard things have gotten.

After their stay, Nina shared this message with us:

"What an amazing experience for our family! Two years ago my husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Since then, our family has been on the go — healing our rock and making sure life has stayed as family-centered as possible."
"Finding this beautiful, hidden gem of a resort was a blessing we didn’t know we needed. From clean and accommodating to welcoming and family-fun oriented, our experience was incredible."
"Our family came home Sunday truly relaxed and smiling about how many memories this resort helped us create. Thank you, Sure Game Wilderness Resort, for centering your business around family! We will be back!"
We’re so thankful we could offer a weekend of peace, fun, and memory-making for this incredible family. Their strength, love, and unity are inspiring.
Thank you to Brianna for nominating the Ovens family — and thank you, Nina, for letting us be part of your healing story. 💛
